Blue Eyes | Fraser James

Wrote and recorded this all today, it took 13 hours.
Pretty different from the normal stuff I work on, but I was feeling a vibe and I’m super happy with how this came out.

Of course, as always, you can find yourself a free download

I love it when people tell me I’m on their iPod or something and they’re spreading the love, so please help yourself!
Enjoy!

Lyrics:

I put my hands around her waist earlier today
Her eyes lit up like only she can in that way
I found her hairs on my sheets, and now I can see one on my jeans
She wore my hat like she didn’t know, its summer time and it won’t snow

All I’ve ever known is gone and wasted
Because when she came along she went and changed the rules
So now I’m feeling high, like I’ve got something inside
And I don’t wanna change it, I don’t wanna lose her

When she’s here, I know I’m not living in the real world
When I’m there I never really get the girl
She knocked down my tv, whilst we were drinking green tea
She came to see me play a show, i think I’ll take her on the road with me one day

All I’ve ever known is gone and wasted
Because when she came along she went and changed the rules
So now I’m feeling high, like I’ve got something inside
And I don’t wanna change it, I don’t wanna lose her
All I’ve ever known is gone and wasted
Because when she came along she went and changed the rules
So now I’m feeling high, like I’ve got something inside
And I don’t wanna change it, I don’t wanna lose her

When you’re lost, you can still find love
Though it’s not quite there, its not far off
I can’t think, every time I speak
Of the words to say, that could make you stay

All I’ve ever known is gone and wasted
Because when she came along she went and changed the rules
So now I’m feeling high, like I’ve got something inside
And I don’t wanna change it, I don’t wanna lose her

I feel happier

Although I hate every second of Gareth Campesinos’ voice, seeing this live in London last year was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my entire life, never had such a buzz as an audience member, it was electric in there.
